The Mahle OX 188D provides a long-term consistent performance an minimal engine wear due to the premium materials and excellent manufacturing standards. The filter has a large surface area to provide maximum performance and is made of specially designed paper that is resistant to heat and chemicals. It’s high-quality seals provide reliably tight joints and prevent dirt re-entering the system for the long-term.

1.Find the oil filter. Most cars have the oil filter located somewhere under the hood, usually on an angle. You may need to raise or remove other things to get to it. If you can’t find it, check your owner’s manual or online.
2.Relieve pressure from the system by removing the oil filler cap and opening the drain plug at the bottom of the sump pan. Be careful when you do this, as there will be a large amount of hot oil coming out! Use a bucket or container to catch this oil, and dispose of it properly at a designated recycling station (not down your drain!)
3.Remove the filter using a special wrench specifically designed for this purpose (usually available at auto-parts stores), or a strap wrench if you don’t own one of these wrenches. If you’re using a strap wrench, make sure you don’t damage anything!
4.Clean up any messes made by old oil and replace with new oil. When replacing, make sure that all gaskets are well-lubricated so no leaks develop!
